Those participating in admitted student VIP days will have the opportunity to come to the MakerSpace and learn how to use our vinyl cutter to design and cut their own stickers/decals. If you're a current student, come introduce yourself, welcome them to our beautiful campus, and share some of your love for SMC with them!!

In this beginner-friendly workshop, learn the basics of Adobe Illustrator- a design program and vector graphics editor. Here in the MakerSpace, we often use this software to create designs to be laser-cut or vinyl-cut (See examples ). Come laser-cut your own set of business cards! We have plenty of colorful card stock options to choose from, and trained staff who will help you create your own design and laser engrave/cut it. Stay for as little or as long as you'd like!

In this workshop, learn how to laser engrave your own glass. This project makes for a great home DIY or gift idea! Bring your own sturdy glass (or *round* mason jar. The Dollar Store nearby sells glasses too!). Bring some ideas/inspiration, and MakerSpace staff will help throughout the design process. Limited seats available, please sign up ahead of time.
