David F. Curley, age 84, a longtime resident of San Francisco, CA and former resident of Norwood, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Central Garden Post Acute in San Francisco.
Born on September 15, 1940, in Lynn, he was one of nine children born to the late Thomas S. Curley, Sr., and Dorothy R. (Bushee) Curley. He was raised in Norwood and graduated from Norwood High School. He furthered his education by attending and completing his bachelor鈥檚 degree at St. Michael College in Burlington, VT.
David worked for the City of Boston and was a teacher in Connecticut. In his younger years, David was drawn to the West Coast and moved out to California, settling in the San Francisco area. He moved back to Norwood for a short period, before moving back to San Francisco, where he remained.
In his spare time, David loved to ride his bike and read. He was an avid lover of nature, and he enjoyed keeping in touch with his family on the East Coast.
Brother of Barbara Curley of Norwood, and the late Margaret Curley, Dorothy Pisini, Thomas Curley, Geraldine Gleason, Jacqueline Wolfe, Charles Curley, and Nancy Curley and many late in-laws. He is also survived by his brother-in-law:聽Victor Pisini and sister-in-law: Shirley Curley; and by his many nieces and nephews.
