DESCRIPTION:Timo McGillicuddy\, Class of 1984\, will debut his third play Off-Broadway this spring. Fanny\, a fantasy in G—presented by OffBrand Opera in NYC—runs March 26–April 19. \nThis vibrant work of historical fiction explores the life of composer Fanny Mendelssohn\, a childhood prodigy whose talent rivaled that of her brother\, Felix. Despite societal pressures discouraging women from pursuing careers in music\, Fanny forged her own creative path with determination\, brilliance\, and heart. \nThough not an opera\, the show is a spirited dramatic journey filled with beautiful music and imaginative storytelling. \nMembers of the St. Mike’s community—alumni\, students\, families\, and friends—are warmly encouraged to attend\, say hello to Timo\, and even grab a drink together after the performance.
