Off-Broadway SMC alumnus play in NYC
Timo McGillicuddy, Class of 1984, will debut his third play Off-Broadway this spring. Fanny, a fantasy in G鈥攑resented by OffBrand Opera in NYC鈥攔uns March 26鈥揂pril 19.
This vibrant work of historical fiction explores the life of composer Fanny Mendelssohn, a childhood prodigy whose talent rivaled that of her brother, Felix. Despite societal pressures discouraging women from pursuing careers in music, Fanny forged her own creative path with determination, brilliance, and heart.
Though not an opera, the show is a spirited dramatic journey filled with beautiful music and imaginative storytelling.
